Sunday visit

The picture above was taken in March 2006 in Hwange, Zimbabwe. It was one of our numerous reunions we have had over the years. From left to right: Dixon (our guide), Adrian (Skin) Suskin (me), Mervyn (Jack) Trappler, Stan (Bengoo) Peimer, Ilan (Ivan) Elkaim, Hylton (Silvi) Solomon, Mervyn (Bunda) Bernet and Mervyn (Lemon) Spiro. Missing was Trevor (Mitch) Lobel. We have all known each other and kept in close contact for the past 43 odd years. We all grew up together in what was then Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). These are my lifelong good buddies (brothers).

We had a visit today from one of the above criminals! Ilan (Elkaim) came for dinner and stayed the night. We did a lot of catching up over a really good dinner prepared by Russ and Diana.

  1. And now there is one more thing you are good at.....

Wow...very impressed by your blogging effort. You're really keeping us posted and developing a strong community around you. Mark Zuckerberg (22 yr old founder of Facebook) would be so proud of you. You really know how to take advantage of The Google. The LaGwanda would be proud.

Me...I'm still trying to figure out the D-Link connection so we can go wireless again. The advice you gave didn't quite pan out. In fact, the whole building lost the Internet connection for two hours before the super rebooted the block.

I think it would be advisable if you took three days off from your treatment and came to NY and got the wireless Internet connection figured out in Apt. 6C. Let's focus on what's important!

Keep blogging. It keeps you close to our hearts and minds. We're with you every minute of every day. We're coming soon to Baltimore and I'm bringing a boatload of Har-gow (shrimp dumplings from NY's Chinatown). Your luck: I arrive first night Seder!

And Ade...you need to get better quickly and straighten out that election thing in Zim. I think if you take control of the Zim airforce you can push Mugabe out of power once and for all!
    How.
