Slow Thursday

Still not feeling great. Lots of fatigue and some mild stomach cramps. I was considering going up to New York on the train to visit Phil and the gang but postponed it for another time.

Took Mike for his pre senior year haircut. He looks pretty darn good. Lots of his Dad's genes! He is set to start his senior high school year in 2 weeks. Rob goes back to college as a sophomore in about 3 weeks.

This afternoon we went downtown to the Baltimore Aquarium to hang out for a while. It's a really nice aquarium. We got to see the dolphin show. They are such incredibly beautiful and smart mammals.

Afterwards we walked across the road and had a really good dinner at PF Chang's. I must have had about 4 cups of hot and sour soup. Mmmmm.

Homeward bound to catch more Olympics on TV.

Senior year is the most fun and a little sad because they are getting ready to leave. I know you know this , you are very lucky to be here for it. Enjoy every second of the year to come, take lots of photos.

  2. PF Chang. Ummmmmmm. Was thinking of Chinese for dinner myself. Wondering if you ate any dumpling there. It's been a while since we scarfed the dumpling and I'm sure our friends in Chinatown miss us. It's like Christmas when we show up and start ordering shrimp drek dumplings. Enjoy the Olympics and I hope you are feeling better tomorrow!

  4. When you went back after your soup that smells like dishwater, did you see the lady from Zimbabwe (only ladies come from there,) take a gold medal in the 100 backstroke? World record. The world's crappiest economy ruled by the universe's most moronic doos, and we win gold. Makes me want to cry with pride. I hope that you're doing better mamparrah #2. Norman will always be #1 mamparrah and Elkaim #1 tsotsi.

I gotta admit I love reading some of the comments from your buds. Don't know what the hell they're talking about, but they sound like great folks--and funny!
Sorry you haven't been feeling great. A drag for sure, but it doesn't keep you down. glad to hear you are getting out and doing stuff, eating out. That's good! Your letter to the paper provided a most important message to all of us out here. I hear ya, Ade. No one thinks he'll be the one to have to face what you've been dealing with. I especially appreciate what you said about paying attention to what our bodies are telling us. Thanks for giving it to us straight. Hope tomorrow is a better day.
