Boca update

Have I told you how great it is to cheat winter??! Well that's how it felt every day in Boca in the sun and being on the beach. We did take a glimpse of the forecast in the rest of the wintry world but we just didn't care!!

We went to the movies at night in flip flops...amazing! And we saw some great movies. We have a sort of tradition when we're in Florida we see as many movies as humanly possible...initially it was to escape the bad weather but as things got globally warmed we just stayed with the habit. Go see Slumdog Millionaire. A Mazing!

I played tennis! Well not a whole game but enough to tire me out...like 10 minutes. Watching the rest of the gang play with Gerry was enough of a pleasure and take a look at the pics of my wife. She looks like she invented the game. The only stickler for rules was cousin Paul....did we take him seriously? Most certainly NOT! Actually I find it difficult to take anything non life threatening seriously. There's a lot that one learns in this predicament and a great deal about what is worth breaking sweat over. I'm very much a work in progress but who would have thought that I needed work?? Only kidding...just ask Mike!

Another highlight of the holiday was our New Year family dinner. We had a good number of cousins, aunts and uncles and it was really great being together. We were amazed that we actually all stayed up and watched the ball in New York and we really did do the whole champagne kiss kiss hug hug thing.

Were there some boring bits or tiresome times...let me think??? Well it was annoying when the afternoon tea was moved from the Cathedral Room at the Boca Beach Club to another unimpressive room! And some blue bottles nearly stung me and one night the air conditioning was rubbish and we didn't sleep that well and..............blah, blah, blah!
